Motion controller II : Matter --> Zigbee and use Smar controller II

I am trying to connect a Bosch Motion Detector II [+M] (BSEN-M2D) to a Bosch Smart Home Controller II. The sensor previously worked correctly via Matter/Thread in Home Assistant and has since been removed from Home Assistant.

After performing a factory reset, the status LED first lights up green and then starts flashing blue. In the Bosch Smart Home app, I scan the QR code and start the pairing process, but eventually receive the message: “Device not found / Check Zigbee key.”

When I follow the instructions in the app and press and hold the control button on top of the motion detector for at least 5 seconds, the status LED does not start flashing orange. Only the white orientation light at the bottom remains illuminated while the button is pressed. As soon as I release the button, the white light turns off and the status LED briefly lights up red.

The Zigbee EUI-64 and Install Code are printed on the sensor label.

Could you please advise how I can correctly switch the BSEN-M2D from Matter/Thread mode to Zigbee mode and pair it with the Bosch Smart Home Controller II?

Hey @Bart . It sounds to me like the factory reset didn't work properly. During the pairing process, the Bosch app switches the motion sensor from Thread to ZigBee.

Lerne aus den Fehlern anderer, du hast nicht genug Zeit sie selber zu machen.
