light controller II with alarm service

hi everyone,

I have having difficulty utilising my light controller II with the alarm service on the app.

Specifically:

1. Alarm reminder

when configuring the 'full protection' mode on alarm service in app.

the light controller II is not listed so I cannot use this feature. is this correct? what devices would work?

2. burglar alarm

when configuring the 'full protection' mode on alarm service in app.

under burglar alarm \ visual alarm \ select lights.

I can select either lights in my light controller II, which is great.

However, this lights will only flash when an alarm goes off, and I cannot configure them to just turn on and stay on. is this correct? are there other devices that would just stay on?

1) Yes, unfortunately this is correctly. Just the Dimmer and smart lights from Ledvance (maybe also integrate Hue lights) can bei selected for that feature.

2) The behavior of different kind of lights and light devices is different. As far as I know and remember, the Dimmer is flashing. The same for a Licht-/Rollladensteuerung II - Lichtsteuerung ,if you use just one channel. When using both channels, it is switched on continuously.

1. Yes, Hue lights work, too.

2. The Smart Relay switches on and stays on until the alarm is muted / deactivated.

ok, thank you both for sharing this information.

@STdesign can confirm, when using both channels (light#1 & #2), they stay switched on continuously once the alarm is alerted.

Another solution I found for issue 2, is I have 1 channel (light#1 of the roller shutter control II - light control) set in the alarm service as a visual alarm, I then setup an automation, which triggers once light#1 is active and the alarm is active, then it will turn on light#2. The result is light#1 flashes, and light#2 stays constant.

Sorry, it was not completey right. Some time ago, we tested it, @Maurice was also involved:

• Just one channel ist selected in the alarm service: the light will be flashing.
• Both channels are selected in the alarm service: both lights will be continuously on.

So, it depends not only on the configration of the Licht-/Rollladensteuerung II - Lichtsteuerung itself, but in that in the alarm service. Sorry for the confusion in my answer before.

I guess, your idea with the automation should work. 👍
